The Back to School Giveaway, not only provides a day of fun, food and recreation but, also gives out backpacks filled with school supplies and resources. The Toy Drive gives toys, food and entertainment during the Holiday season. The Girls Empowerment Conference helps teach girls, ages 12 to 21, leadership, self-esteem and essential life lessons for families. Christina’s Annual Fancy Hat fundraiser celebrates and honors pioneers in our community. Her organization, and the many events and services they provide are regarded as important components of the Southeast Queens Society.

Since her youth, Christina’s vision has been to enhance the quality of life and enrich the standards of living in her beloved community, particularly for the women, children and veterans. She studied and performed with the Gloria Jackson Dance Studio and as their intern, she taught dance to toddlers and perform at The Apollo Theatre and the Beacon Theatre. She continued her service in the community by working as an Intake Specialist and as a Substance Abuse Counselor, for both youths

and adults, at Daytop Village. She also taught social skills and self-empowerment as a Direct Care Counselor to “at-risk” girls at Outreach Haven.
